Almost There

Last night both Zoe and Leo slept for over nine hours straight! Most people consider this sleeping through the night, and I would too except that they slept from 8:30pm to 5:45am, and I didn't get to sleep until midnight. I'll be happy when they sleep until I'm ready to wake up, say around 7:30am.

Still, it's a win because they both did it together. I see a light at the end of the sleepless tunnel.

  1. Yeah - this sleeping thing is so frustrating. Most night Alistair usually sleeps for about 12 hours. If he wakes up at all we can usually get him to go right back to sleep. Sounds great. But we cannot get him to stay awake later than 6pm and he wakes up at 5:45 or 6 if we're lucky. I want to just be glad that he sleeps but I so wish he would give us one more hour!

  2. We were so lucky with Sam. She's always been a night person, and has never been one to wake up early. I think there was a time where she was getting up around 7 and we thought that was too early so we got her the Teach Me Time clock and made her stay in her room until 7:30. Ha! But I suspect you can't fight it too much if you have an early bird. And Leo and Zoe are already going to bed earlier than Sam did at that age. We're trying to train them towards an 8:30-9:30 bedtime. We'll see how that goes.
