You may have noticed that I've added ads to my web site. I hope they are not too obtrusive. I like seeing them here because I think the Google AdSense concept is brilliant.
Love AdSense, too, but check with Adam--he probably has more relevant knowledge than I do--I think there are situations in which people have found themselves with heightened liability for libel or other problems potentially arising from blog posts that are considered "commercial" rather than personal. That may be an urban myth, but I've seen chatter to that effect. It would suck that have any heightened liability for anything, unless your making serious money off it. :) Not that I assume you are likely to libel anyone with your posts! Just a little suggestion of forethought.
I like Google's Adsense too and am writing about how much money a small blogger makes using them. Though not much, pennies make dollars--and they also can serve as tiny advertisements for things you value.
For instance, right now the ad showing for me is one leading to the Ayn Rand Institute.
(By the way, you can change the color of the ads to make them even less intrusive if you wish. I like the colored one's as they're ads but also because they "break up" the categories nicely.)
